Terroir – South-east facing and located in Coinsins, the EN TRECOR parcel is planted with old-vine Chardonnay on a loess terroir. This loose, detrital sedimentary deposit was formed by the accumulation of wind-blown silt. Comparable to the soils of the Hautes Côtes de l’Hermitage, this terroir imparts minerality, freshness, and depth to the Chardonnay.
Vinification – Low yields ensure maximum concentration and fruit expression. Manual harvest in small crates, with sorting carried out entirely in the vineyard, guarantees optimal quality. This cuvée was vinified half in new oak barrels from Tonnellerie Cavin. These 228 L barrels are crafted entirely from oak from the Châtillonnais forest, with a very light toast.
Appearance – Deep golden hue.
Nose – Intense, with notes of pear, lemon, and almond.
Palate – Full-bodied yet precise and finely etched. The oak is seamlessly integrated, the texture sapid, refined, and long, with a peppery character on the finish.
